License to Carry / Concealed Handgun

Service Description

This state-approved course allows you to successfully complete the classroom and firearm range qualification which is required for you to apply for registration with the Texas Department of Public Safety. If issued by DPS, your License to Carry will enable you to lawfully open carry and concealed carry your handgun. You will be provided with excellent, up-to-date training from an experienced and credentialed instructor. ​ The state-mandated minimum classroom instruction time is 4-hours (not including breaks, lunch, travel time to the range, or range time). Our class is one full day to ensure adequate time for questions in the classroom and time at the range so no one is rushed. We want you to succeed and get the best possible information. ​ This is not a basic pistol course. If you have no experience with firearms, have little experience with firearms, and are not confident in your handling of firearms please contact us ahead of time so we can schedule a Basic Pistol course. The range portion is to simply qualify you and hone firearm skills. ​ You must provide your own handgun or rent one at the range at an additional cost. You must supply your own ammunition.
